As the rosters will take awhile to finalize as I'm waiting on the draft class to be added to a roster update I'll release who got which team so you can get an idea of what your inheriting.Mind you the roster they had last season may not remain the same but Rosters,and standings/Stats can all be viewed on the STHL website.

I already see a few trades ( when I say a few about half of the lineup shown is going to be traded)

you need to rember two keys to a lineup

just loading up on names that you reconze doesn't always work you need a blanaced roster my plan is to show what the chemsitry is of each line once I get the finalized versions

and the other is not everyone will trade with you and trades will have to fair and balanced.

other than that don't forget the rosters will change slightly and we still haven't hit the draft and ufa periods alot of time until next season lol

well that is true, however there are a few people currently in the lineup that I would like to trade.

hey canuck, i would be finle with moving the Humboldt Wildcats to Escambia.

Humboldt Wildcats will move to Escambia City. And are now the Escambia Chops

hmm... Oh i've seen that logo before, the Iowa Chops of the AHL, i think , (i'm a huge fan of the AHL as my friend plays for the Adirondak Phantoms.

when are the uniforms going to be released?

as soon as we finish them I'll have a release of all 30 teams,We just got our new template finished so now we can get crackin on the finalization of the new looks all 30 teams have their uni's being re-done so thats half the delay.

also minor shake up as we had a returning team make the deadline but use an old email account lol so I'm in the middle of re-organizing and changing a couple things

New to this site, just trying to figure out whats going on here with this hockey. Everything seems so professional and serious, I wouldn't be suporised if you all didn't actually have your own real teams with players. How are teams setup and how are games played? Well the teams are set-up in NHL08 I set up the rosters a couple years ago witha randomized draft now the teams carry their rosters on throughout the season.They can make trades and sign free agents as well as we have an entry draft every year for the new players enetering the sthl.The players are the same names you see in the NHL,Minor and European leagues.

the season is done by me simming the games and posting the results all teams play an 82 game regular season that stretches from october till april. I've also taken photo's of the games as tehy've been played.

And glad your enjoying this site I think you'll find it's a very laid back place much like pegs but this site definitly is more sports focused

Are people still able to join in for the upcoming season? I'm definately interested in getting a team involved if its possible. I assume your not playing for money, just pride. I got a logo, team name, and stadium name all ready, it came to me quick when I was thinking about it.

first of all welcome to the site. Second is the STHLD2 going to be run this year aswell? If it is I have a team to enter.

pj as mayorm said the League is unfortunatly full(maybe too full lol) I will definitly be running the STHL D2 which is teh lower league of the STHL it's alot less flashier but still fun none the less I'll let you know when signups open up for that. Also if you have a Nation your National squad(like Team Canada etc....) can also sign up for the SIIHF

Good to hear D2 is running this year, as the Rivermen would like to set up thier minor league organizations. OMG love the logo, its an old logo from the Blues AHL affiliate the Peoria Rivermen (yes they gave me the inspiration) for my Rivermen team.
