Terraforming Help
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone here is really good at using the SC4 Terraformer and if they could lend me some help, or if you guys could point me in the direction of someone with more experience to help me out.
Right now I have a region 100x100 in small city tiles, while that worked.... sortta... for my Blue Hills Province I know very well that as I move from Rural to more Suburban and Urban areas that's going to become more of an issue. So I need to make some of those small city tiles to medium and large city tiles.

Re: Terraforming Help
I think I can help. Something similar happened to me the other day, so I'll tell you what I did.
1; Make a temporary region (don't worry, you'll delete it afterwards)
2; Import all your cities from Blue Hills into the temporary region
3; Go into My Documents (or wherever you saved SC4)
4; Open the SimCity 4 folder
5; Open the Regions folder
6; Open the folder with the name of your region (I suppose it's Blue Hills)
7; Open the config file with Paint
8; Reconfigure the layout of your region (key: 1 red square=1 small city, 2x2 green squares=1 medium city, 4x4 blue squares=1 large city)
9; Import all your cities from the temporary region back into the reconfigured Blue Hills
10; Delete (if you wish) the temporary region
There! I hope that helps!

Re: Terraforming Help
he pretty much answered it there but make sure when you do the config you fill every zone in that region config. I have successfully done this 12 times now and made the mistake of missing a few squares you end up with aswiss cheese like region<br>
Re: Terraforming Help
thanks guys, after some thought about it I've decided to start fresh, sortta, I'm going to model the cities exactly the same but just put them on some medium city tiles since those are a little easier to work with then the small ones so I'm going to keep everything pretty much the same in terms of where they are located but I'll have a little more room to be more detail oriented and a little bit more CDO about the whole thing and make it look really good.

Re: Terraforming Help
not really terraforming help but I figured rather than start a new topic I'd just keep going with this one.
I'm looking for some mods I know exist and I can't seem to find
1. The lots that are dirt/gravel roads and wooden fences that show up in your water utility menu (I believe it's on SC4D but I can't find it) I have the lots but on the gravel roads the bass texture isn't coming in and I'm getting the black background to the lot so I think I may be missing a dependency and I want to check out the download page and the readme
2. I'm looking for a mod that gets rid of the sidewalks on the maxis streets
3. I'm looking for a good nighttime street light mod
thanks guys
